Hummus is a no brainer… affordable, easy, protein-packed! Not to mention, it is delicious any day of the week! Here are the steps needed to make my roasted veggie CBD hummus!
Step 1. Chop up your onions and pepper. Put them in a pan with your garlic cloves and add lots of olive oil! Leave until soft and mushy.
Step 2. While your veggies are in the oven, you can prepare your hummus. Drain your can of chickpeas, leaving a little bit of the water of the can in to add extra flavour. Put them in a blender with your tahini, olive oil, water, salt/pepper and chilli flakes. Mix until creamy smooth! Adjust salt and pepper measurements to your desires.
Step 3. When your veggies are thoroughly cooked through, add them to your blender and blend away!
Step 4. Do one last taste test before serving to ensure you have enough of everything adjusted as it usually varies a little bit when making hummus.
Step 5. Serve in a bowl, drizzle some olive oil on, sprinkle some chilli flakes! I served with cucumbers this time but use whatever dipping foods your heart desires.
Step 6. The final step is your CBD drops. I used 10% CBD isolate oil from Green Cuisine CBD. I added 15 drops as I am sharing this batch with another friend and I wanted to make sure we both had enough CBD. The only two ingredients in this oil are pure CBD extracts (CO2) and organic olive oil… That being said, it blends right in with the flavour of the olive oil I drizzled on top!
That’s it! You are all done.
Enjoy your hummus & happy cooking!
