Vegan Chocolate CBD Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen works best)
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free oats
  • 2 cups oat milk (or substitute with nut milk of your choice)
  • 3 Tbsp natural salted peanut butter (or substitute with nut butter of your choice)
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 Tbsp cacao powder
  • 4 Tbsp protein powder of choice
  • 4 CBD drops (10%)
  • 1 – 2 pitted dates or a dash of maple syrup (optional)

Toppings:

  • Coconut flakes
  • Chia seeds

Serves: 1 Person

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Stays good in the freezer for 3 months or in the fridge for 1 day.

This is the perfect shake to have in the morning before a busy day or before/after a workout! No matter what, you can always count on this nutrient-dense shake to taste delicious and keep you going! Personally, I enjoy making this shake before a yoga session. The CBD drops are a great addition as it has become a vital part of my yoga routine.

This recipe is super easy, which makes it great for those days when you are rushing out the door to get to a class but need something nutritious to enjoy on the way there. Let’s get into it!

Step 1. Get all of your ingredients together and add the correct measurements into your blender.

Step 2. Blend, scrape the sides, and blend one last time!

Step 3. Pour into a cup, add your toppings, and enjoy!

That is all! In about 5 minutes and 3 steps, you have a delicious and nutritious shake!

Why I use CBD in my protein shakes

As I said above, I make this shake every time before leaving for a yoga class. I always make sure to add CBD to it as taking CBD oil before my classes has become my routine! CBD, or cannabidiol, works directly with the nervous system as a natural relaxant. Working with the mind and body, it has improved my practice significantly. Yoga by itself has been my escape for many years. I’ve been able to find a space within my practice for patience, mindfulness, and peace. Adding CBD to this already calming and centering practice has done wonders for me! CBD is a great addition to any sports or activity.

I used Green Cuisine CBD’s Isolate Drops in my shake as they don’t have any taste and therefore don’t affect the chocolatey goodness in my cup! They also offer high percentages of CBD which I really like. It is such an easy and effective way to boost the beneficial value of my protein shakes!
