  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 4 tbsp boiling water
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • 270ml coconut milk
  • CBD drops

This morning I woke up to pouring rain and I knew immediately what I was going to make for my cooking blog… The perfect drink for a day spent indoors! This recipe is super simple, nutrient-dense, beautiful, and delicious!

To start, you can add your coconut milk to a saucepan on the stove on low heat. You want to warm it up without boiling it so it does not break down the CBD we are going to add in later. Whilst that is warming up, put your powders into a mug and add in your boiling water. When this is mixed, you should end up with a paste-like consistency. If you want it to be on the sweet side, feel free to add in some stevia to keep it on the healthy side. However, I just left mine plain as I actually quite enjoy the taste of turmeric on its own! But definitely add in a bit of sweetener if you like your lattes on the sweeter side!

Very important step: froth that coconut milk! Once your coconut milk is warmed up, run it through a frother to create an even thicker constancy. I know, I know… coconut milk is already super thick, however, with this recipe, the thicker the better! We want this latte to be as creamy as can be! Who said vegan food can’t be creamy?!

Add your frothed coconut milk to the mug that contains your turmeric and cinnamon paste and stir. Here you can add your shaved chocolate flakes as a topping, as well as your cinnamon sticks. I used ginger dark chocolate to compliment the flavours, however, you can add whichever chocolate you think is best! The cinnamon sticks are optional and if you do add some, then the quantity is up to you!

Lastly, add your CBD drops on top! Today I am using 5 drops of 10% CBD isolate from Green Cuisine CBD. The only ingredients in these drops are pure CBD extracts and olive oil, meaning you cannot taste the drops! CBD binds exceptionally well with fats, making it the perfect match for this coconut-based latte!
