Smoothie bowls can be made with endless fun and colourful combinations of ingredients.Take this recipe as a rough blueprint as the possibilities with this dish are ongoing! You can‘simplify’ or ‘complicate’ this recipe. Most importantly, have fun with it!
Blend your healthy fruits
Essentially, a smoothie bowl is creating a think blend of different fruits, putting that mixture into abowl and adding fun/pretty toppings! Yes, it really is that easy! Nothing difficult about this dish. Itis easy, cheap and fast. This makes it a great option for a fun and quick breakfast that will give you enough energy to start your busy day. This dish is most commonly eaten as a breakfast, however, you can have this at any point of the day!
Adding CBD oil in your dishes
If you follow any cooking pages on Instagram or Facebook, you have most likely come across a smoothie bowl or two. Wondering how you can spice this dish up and bring even more health benefits to the table? Try adding CBD drops to your bowl!
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that is most often extracted from the Hemp plant. CBD has a wide range of different benefits. CBD can help with inflammation, stress, depression and, general body pain. These are just a few common benefits that CBD provides. The list is long and continues to grow as more studies are done on this wonderful extract!
They add new information each week to their website, making it a great source to learn about the world of CBD. Today, we will be using their 10% CBD oil in this recipe. All of their CBD products are100% organic. Personally, I really value organic products and that is why absolutely everything using in this easy recipe today will be organic to ensure I am using the highest of quality ingredients. Let us get into the actual recipe, shall we?
INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR CBD SMOOTHIE BOWL
- 8 drops of 10% CBD Oil
- 200g Frozen Strawberries
- 100g Frozen Blueberries
- 2 Large Ripe Bananas
- Toppings (optional):
– Sliced Almonds
– Chia Seeds - Coconut Flakes
- Walnut Slices
- Berries
As far as instructions go, things are pretty self-explanatory!
First, I mixed the frozen goods and bananas in my high powered blender. If you would like it to be a more runny consistency, feel free to add a tiny amount of milk.
You can use any milk for this, although, my favourite milk is Oatly’s oat milk.
However, I decided to skip the milk today. If you are looking to make this even more healthy and thick, feel free to add some of your favourite proteinpowder to the blender! That is the beauty of this recipe-you can add or take away whatever you want to completely customize it to what you desire most.
Be Creative & Colourful
When the mixture was completely smooth, I added 8 drops of 10% CBD oil into the blender. I then proceeded to blend it for an additional 15 seconds. When everything was blended together and I was happy with the consistency, I poured everything into a bowl.
This is where the real fun starts and where creativity comes into play. Simply decorate the top of your smoothie bowl with fun and healthy ingredients.
You can really spice up this dish by putting loads of different fun/colorful toppings on it. I kept things on the more simple side and stuck to my ‘toppings’ ingredient list. You can add as little or as many toppings as you please. That is it!
Simple, Fast & Tasty - Enjoy!
This recipe is so simple, so fast and so tasty. I love that this is an easy and fun way to take your daily dose of CBD. Of course, this recipe can be made without CBD… But if you take CBD, why not add it in? This amount of ingredients can typically feed 2 people.
However, it can, of course, feed just one person or more than 2 people depending on who is eating it and how hungry they are! Thank you so much for taking the time to try this recipe! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
