Super Green Spirulina CBD Smoothie!

CBD Super Green Spirulina Smoothie!

CBD Recipes With Sydney

Autumn is coming and that means winter is on its way. I don’t know about you, but I drink smoothies throughout every season. They are easy/quick to make, cheap, and packed with nutrition. Although, I try to stick to darker coloured smoothies during the autumn/cold seasons as an attempt to keep drinking my delicious smoothies and not feel like I am holding onto summer too much…. Is that so wrong of me?!

Ingredients:

5 ingredients. 5 minutes. 1 blender.

  • 1 Cup Full Fat Coconut Milk
  • 1 Medium Frozen Bananas
  • ½ Cup Sliced Cucumber
  • 1 Tsp Spirulina Powder
  • 10% CBD Drops
  • Toppings (Optional)
  • 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • Pomegranate Seeds – Quantity Optional

BANANA BASE

The base of this smoothie is frozen bananas. Make sure your banana is frozen and pealed. Ensuring the banana is frozen will give it a deliciously thick consistency. Your banana will add a sweet taste which is necessary when considering the other ingredients. Go ahead and chuck that banana into your blender!

CUCUMBER CRAZY

Next comes Cucumber. Slice thin disks of cucumber until you have a ½ cup measurement. Cucumbers contain many different nutritions and vitamins. Here is a list of some that can be found in Cucumber:

  • Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and C
  • Calcium
  • Iron
  • Folic Acid
  • Zinc
  • Phosphorous
  • Potassium

Let’s not waste any time, throw all those beautiful vitamins into your blender as well!

GOING GREEN

Spirulina is an extremely nutritious algae.

This super-food is high in vitamin B and other minerals such as iodine, iron, magnesium, beta-carotene, and lots of antioxidants that will make your body happy. spirulina isn’t the tastiest power due to its potency. However, adding a small amount to a smoothie won’t taste too strong and will add more nutrient while simultaneously giving it a fantastic green colour without having to add handfuls of kale into it!

Add in your tbsp of spirulina powder.

LOCO COCO

Now it is time to add in our coconut milk! Try to ensure you use full-fat coconut milk as our next ingredient (CBD) works best when combined with fat. You can use regular vegan milk for this if you wish, however, the coconut milk will combine with the CBD better whilst giving you that extra creamy-ness.

GREEN CUISINE CBD

Lastly, let’s add in our CBD! I simply added 5 drops of my 10% CBD drops. I used Green Cuisine CBD’s oil because it is tasteless, potent and organic. I find adding a few drops of the oil is a great way to upgrade your smoothie game and make your drink much more beneficial. I put the drops directly into the blender to finish off this smoothie.

BLEND IT, DRINK IT, LOVE IT

Now that you have all your ingredients in the blender, go ahead and blend it all up! Blend until you reach a smooth and thick consistency.

TOP IT ALL OFF

Toppings-you definitely won’t want to skip this part! This last step is definitely important. I chose to add chia seeds as well as pomegranate seeds to top it all off. Although, you can use whatever toppings you wish. The options are endless!

This smoothie makes for the perfect plant-based breakfast and/or snack. I will often stick this smoothie into a mason jar and take with me to enjoy on my way to a yoga class. If you wish to add more protein try adding some of your preferred vegan protein powder if you wish to keep it plant-based. Even if you are just at home and want to enjoy a healthy snack, this CBD smoothie is a great option.

This recipe takes 5 minutes from start to finish and is approximately 2 servings. It can last for 2 days in your refrigerator or up to one week in your freezer.  Healthy, quick, and delicious!

This recipe is a fun way to get your CBD in for the day. If you would like to know more about CBD and all the benefits this non-psychoactive cannabinoid has to offer, check out www.greencuisinecbd.com for more information.

Enjoy!
